 |
1. Being a disciple means believing in God's
Word.
John 8:31 - Then said Jesus to those Jews which
believed on Him, If ye continue in My word, then
are ye My disciples indeed;
Mark 8:34 - And when He had called the people
unto Him with His disciples also, He said unto
them, Whosoever will come after Me, let him
deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow
Me.
John 15:5 - I am the vine, ye are the branches:
He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same
bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can
do nothing.
John 13:34-35 - A new commandment I give unto
you, That ye love one another; as I have loved
you, that ye also love one another. By this shall
all men know that ye are My disciples, if ye have
love one to another.
Matthew 28:18-19 - And Jesus came and spake
unto them, saying, All power is given unto Me in
heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach
all nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Isaiah 50:4 - The Lord GOD hath given me the
tongue of the learned, that I should know how to
speak a word in season to him that is weary: He
wakeneth morning by morning, He wakeneth mine
ear to hear as the learned.
Romans 12:1 - I beseech you therefore, brethren,
by the mercies of God, that ye present your
bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto
God, which is your reasonable service.
1 Peter 4:2 - That he no longer should live the
rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but
to the will of God.
1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, he is faithful
and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us
from all unrighteousness.
1 Peter 4:10 - As every man hath received the
gift, even so minister the same one to another, as
good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
Luke 12:15 - And he said unto them, Take heed,
and beware of covetousness: for a man's life
consisteth not in the abundance of the things
which he possesseth.
James 3:9-10 - Therewith bless we God, even the
Father; and therewith curse we men, which are
made after the similitude of God. Out of the same
mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My
brethren, these things ought not so to be.
James 5:10 - Take, my brethren, the prophets,
who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an
example of suffering affliction, and of patience.
Ephesians 4:29 - Let no corrupt communication
proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good
to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace
unto the hearers.
Galatians 6:2 - Bear ye one another's burdens,
and so fulfill the law of Christ.
Luke 14:33 - So likewise, whosoever he be of you
that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be
my disciple.
Matthew 7:21 - Not every one that saith unto me,
Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of
heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father
which is in heaven.
2 Timothy 2:19 - Nevertheless the foundation of
God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord
knoweth them that are His. And, let every one that
nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
1 John 5:3 - For this is the love of God, that we
keep His commandments: and His
commandments are not grievous.
